Mediumship is the ability to serve as a bridge between the spirit world (Other Side) and the physical human world. Mediums use their psychic senses (clairs), to communicate with other realms and energies. These senses include clairvoyance (seeing), clairaudience (hearing), clairsentience (feeling), and claircognizance (knowing). The clairs are the language of our intuition—the way we receive messages from our guides and loved ones on the Other Side. Because we all have these senses, you probably engage with them every day without realizing it, such as experiencing moments of strong intuition (your “inner voice”) or feeling the presence of a loved one who has passed. That’s your natural connection to spirit. While some of us are born with heightened sensitivity, with awareness and practice, anyone can develop their psychic abilities.
-
A psychic is someone who uses the same intuitive senses (clairs) that a medium does, but does so to read a live person’s energetic field, or aura, which contains information from their past, present, and future. During a session, I generally use all my clairs, though their strength and focus can vary depending on the energies present. Some people say that all mediums are psychics, but that not all psychics are mediums. I agree . . . to an extent. We are all psychic, but we’re not all meant to be mediums, yet I believe we all have the capability to communicate with crossed over spirits.
-
Some mediums refer to themselves as channelers, which is perfectly fine, however, I find some people confuse that with “trance channeling,” which entails allowing a non-physical being to use or “take over” a medium’s body and voice to communicate directly. I do not work in that way. (See above questions.)
My readings are very casual, yet interactive, so you are more than welcome to ask questions throughout a reading. Just please keep in mind, the less I know about you and your loved ones, the better.
-
Yes. For those deep in grief from the passing of a loved one, I recommend taking time to heal before seeking a reading. This not only gives your crossed loved one time (if needed) to adjust and strengthen their energy for connection, but it allows your energy to elevate and expand, which is very important during a reading. Coming to a session with expectations of who or what will come through, will not serve the highest good of those involved, so please take the time necessary to reach a state of openness.
-
The best way to approach a reading is to be open, receptive, and free of expectations. What energy you’re bringing to the session is extremely important, so I encourage you to be mindful of your stress levels before arriving. If you feel drained, frazzled, or distracted, it’s wise to spend a few moments to ground, center yourself, and set the intention to raise your vibration. Take several deep, slow breaths, and envision a waterfall of cleansing light washing over you. This will help remove the less-than-positive energies and help facilitate a strong and clear connection to your guides and passed loved ones. I also recommend making sure that after a reading, you give yourself time to re-ground, reflect, and process the experience. Be sure to visit the Readings page for more information, including what you may want to bring with you.
Additionally, it doesn’t hurt to reflect—prior to the reading—on who you know on the Other Side. You may have to think way back! You’d be amazed by how many people are shocked by who comes through, and at first, might have difficulty validating this person. The fact is, anyone you’ve ever had a connection to has the potential to come through. They may also appear because you have a current connection to one of their living loved ones. I do my best to perceive as much evidence about them as possible, but it’s always a good idea to reflect beforehand, especially on those in your life who had an impact on you or vise versa—no matter how small it may seem.
Another thing I’d like to mention, is that if you work in the medical or therapeutic fields, it’s very common to have many spirits comes through who you may have only had brief contact with—that’s simply the nature of your work. Even if you don’t quite remember them, they’re connected to you because you provided them with care. Often, they just want to say “thank you.” If you do work in this capacity, please keep this in mind. Even though I cannot control who comes through and who doesn’t, you can certainly take some time before the reading to acknowledge these individuals, send them love, and ask that they step back and be respectful of your Guides and loved ones who want to come through. Sometimes, your former clients or patients just need me to pass along their gratitude and will leave.

Honestly, I’ve never had that occur. That’s not to say it can’t happen, but know that there is always a reason. Spirit knows far more than we do; they have a higher perspective and if they feel a reading is not in everyone’s highest, greatest good that day, then silence might be their way of letting us know. It just might not be the right time. Energies dictate so much; whether it’s mine, yours, or something else entirely, so it’s important to not be upset or concerned. Perhaps it’s simply a matter of rescheduling.
But again, I’ve never had a loved one or Guide not come through. Readings unfold as they’re supposed to and it’s important to expect the unexpected, because often, it’s about what we need to hear, not what we want to hear.
-
When a soul crosses over, they acquire a certain amount of awareness and understanding, usually after undergoing a Life Review. Often, they show up because they have a message that they know you need (and possibly, deep down) want to hear. Turns out, it may be the most healing thing you hear.
Please understand that just thinking about them calls in their energy, so that is why I am very adamant about people being open and receptive to anything and anyone who comes through. It’s important to know also, that not only do I set protective boundaries around us during a session, but your Guides are present as well, and wouldn’t allow harmful spirits or messages to come though.
If you’re still resistant to have contact with any particular spirit who may come through, I suggest holding off on a reading until you feel ready and open to do so.

It’s perfectly normal and frankly—important—to be skeptical in life; that’s being discerning. We can’t believe everything we hear, read, and see (especially in today’s world). But the idea is to be an open skeptic. A critical thinker has healthy skepticism. When you’re open, that means you’re open to learning; it means you have enough humility to know that you couldn’t possibly have all the answers and that you’re willing to gather any information available to make a decision or determination.
A closed skeptic, or cynic, gives out the energy that they are not open, therefore, they’re unable to receive information. What results, is a self-fulfilled prophesy, a reinforcement of their belief coming into the session. (“See? This isn’t real because I didn’t hear anything that rang true.”)
Information is energy. Spirits on the Other Side are energy. Guides are energy. A successful connection to them, requires congruency between you, me, and the Other Side, but if one of us is closed, it breaks the connection.
If you’re not able to be an open skeptic, I ask that you do not schedule a session with me; there would be no point to do so. Further, my job is not to prove what I can do, or be “tested,” so I kindly ask that you respect that.
I would encourage you to examine where your skepticism is rooted. Often, it derives from fear of some kind, such as feeling uncomfortable to have a belief system challenged. There are many different ways fear can lead to skepticism, but I can tell you, that I’ve only ever seen people experience an incredible sense of freedom when they’re brave enough to surrender their fear and be open.
One final note . . . if you want to learn to be more open, I recommend buying a deck (or two) of oracle cards (you don’t have to tell anyone ;-) ) and do a 1- to three-card pull each day. I guarantee, that even after a few days of doing that, some of that skepticism will diminish. If you’re not sure where to start, contact me and I’ll send you my 1-page PDF on how to use oracle cards. (I also offer a more in-depth class on the subject.)
-
No. Please no. (See the above question if you haven’t already.) As much as we want others to hear messages and guidance from the Other Side, people must be ready and open for a reading; they cannot be forced into it. Please do not push anyone into a reading—they must come to this on their own.
-
It depends. I prefer one person per reading, however, I’ll often read for couples who have experienced a shared loss, such as the loss of a child. I don’t mind accommodating siblings or parent-child pairs in one reading when there is a shared connection to the information being sought. For those seeking other connections or personal guidance, it’s best to book a separate session, especially if you aren’t comfortable having others hear what your guides have to say to you. At this time, I do not offer large group readings.
-
Yes! Pets come through all the time, and while I don’t consider myself an “animal communicator,” I’m often able to tune into the energies of your current pets—they usually have messages for you, too. If you have concerns about your current pet, feel free to bring an item that is connected to them, such as their collar or a toy.

During sessions, I often see archetypes, universal patterns of power that shape our thoughts, beliefs, and behaviors. Each of us has about twelve, four of which, everyone shares: Victim, Prostitute, Saboteur, and Child. Beyond these there are many others—Teacher, Healer, Rescuer, Hermit, and more—each with light and shadow aspects. We may embody different archetypes at various stages of life, but our twelve core ones remain constant. When an archetype appears in a reading, it’s usually because it’s active in your life or influencing someone close to you. Understanding our archetypes can be profoundly illuminating. If you’d like to explore this subject further, I recommend looking into the work of Caroline Myss. I also offer a class that introduces you to archetypes and how to discover yours.

Nothing! The same energies will be around us whether we are in the same room or thousands of miles apart.

Obviously, not every crossed over loved one will come through in one session, so if the intention is to connect with other family members, I’m happy to meet a few times following an initial session. However, when it comes to a psychic reading, it’s important to not become reliant upon a psychic for guidance, which is why I offer workshops and mentorship so that people learn how to tap into their own intuitive system. I teach people this so that they can actually connect with their passed loved ones and their guides whenever they want!
I generally tell people that six months to a year after an initial reading, is typically a good timeframe for a followup visit if they feel they need one. Otherwise, I would advice once a year at most.

If you are interested in setting up a reading, use the contact form on my website and I will be in touch to schedule a session. I conduct readings and Reiki sessions in a small studio in my backyard; it’s very quiet and private. I don’t generally go to people’s homes to do a reading, so if you’re local, but aren’t able to come to me, a phone reading would work great. If we do have a phone reading, I will call you at the appointed time.
I ask for payment (Venmo) at the time of scheduling in order to secure your appointment. At this time, I schedule sessions Monday - Friday, 10 AM MST to 7 PM MST.

I believe everyone deserves access to guidance and healing, regardless of their financial circumstances. For that reason, individual 90-minute sessions are offered on a $40–$100 sliding scale. I simply ask that you choose the amount that feels both honest and sustainable for your current situation.
Like nature itself, we each experience seasons of abundance and seasons of need. My sliding-scale pricing honors that reality. If you're able to contribute toward the higher end of the scale, your generosity helps make these sessions accessible to someone whose season looks different today. In this way, each session becomes part of a cycle of generosity and care. Together, we help ensure that guidance, healing, and connection remain available to those who seek them.
At this time, I accept Venmo. Please give at least a 24-hour notice for a full refund.

Reiki is a gentle energy-healing practice in which a practitioner places their hands lightly on or near the body with the intention of supporting relaxation, balance, and overall well-being. Developed in Japan by Mikao Usui in the early 20th century, Reiki is universal life-force energy that flows through all living things. During a Reiki session, the practitioner serves as a channel for this energy, directing it through their hands to help clear energetic blockages, restore balance, and support the body's natural healing processes.
I share in the belief of many other Reiki practitioners, that the individual healing potential of Reiki is highly dependent on the recipient's own intentions and beliefs; that the ultimate healing can quite often be the result of a sacred partnership between Reiki and the recipient. Regardless, Reiki promotes deep relaxation and focused attention, which initiates the body's own stress-reduction responses. Be sure to check the links on my Reiki page for more information.

I practice the Usui Reiki Method, having received my Reiki I & II certification from Reiki Master, Angela Haugen (Lavanya Healing). I generally have clients lie down on a massage table that I’ve set up, but if lying down isn’t comfortable for you, being seated in a chair will work just as well.

Please use the contact form to inquire about setting up a Reiki session, and yes, I do distance Reiki.
If you’re local, but have physical limitations and aren’t able to come to my studio, we can discuss if me coming to you, will work. It’s usually best if we chat on the phone beforehand so that I can answer questions and together, formulate the best plan for a session, whether it’s in-person or remote.

Much like a medium reading, being open is important. If you’re skeptical or know nothing about Reiki, I strongly encourage you to check out the resources I provide links to on my Reiki page.
Reiki is like an energetic massage, and because it works on the mind, body, and spirit, it can help relieve physical aches and pains, as well as facilitate emotional and mental healing as it works to release energetic blocks. While Reiki is completely harmless and very gentle, healing itself may feel a little uncomfortable, depending on how deep and dense the blockages are. I’ve found, however, that the vast majority of clients who have deep emotional healing to undergo, experience more relief than pain. You may find two to three sessions are needed, but remember, Reiki works best when you are ready to heal and are working in conjunction with it. Reiki can bring awareness to these blockages and loosen them, but it will take both you and Reiki to clear them out.
Reiki is also a wonderful way to simply align your chakras when you’re feeling a little “off.”
I recommend wearing comfortable clothing and if you’d like, you can bring an eye mask, but I also provide a weighted one. While lying on a massage table (or seated in a chair), you remain fully clothed and even covered by a blanket if you’d like. I may work on the front of your body, or the back, and you may feel energy moving throughout your body; you may even see certain colors or have vivid visions.
There will be time to process your experience before leaving. Be sure to stay hydrated afterwards!

No. For me, Reiki and mediumship require different types of preparation, focus, and intention, so it’s important my attention is not divided. It’s equally important that the client’s focus and intention is aligned with mine so that the highest level of healing can be achieved. With that said, intuitive messages from a client’s guide will often surface during a Reiki session, which I will share with the client.
