Intro to Archetypes
2-hour live Zoom - $35
Did you ever take one of those aptitude tests in high school to help determine what to study after graduation? Little did you know, your inherent archetypes were playing a part in your answers. Archetypes are universal patterns of power that shape our thoughts, beliefs, and behaviors, but they reveal much more than just our likes and what career we may be best suited for. Famed Swiss psychologist of the early 20th century, Carl G. Jung, was best known for his work in this area, but the concept of archetypes date back to around 380 BCE with Plato, the Greek philosopher. Each of us has about twelve, four of which, everyone shares: Victim, Prostitute, Saboteur, and Child. Beyond these there are many others—Teacher, Healer, Rescuer, Hermit, and more—each with light and shadow aspects. We may embody different archetypes at various stages of life, but our twelve core ones remain constant. Understanding our archetypes can be profoundly illuminating. In this class, I’ll give a brief introduction and history of archetypes, discuss each of the four we all share, and how we can identify and successfully manage these highly influential energies. Replay included. If you are interested in attending this class, please fill out the form below with your time preferences and I will be in touch.
