About

April Moore is the author of Folsom’s 93, a historical nonfiction about the crimes of Folsom Prison’s executed men originally published in 2013 with Linden Publishing. A revised edition is scheduled for a 2025 release with BookBar Press. She has also published several essays, short stories, and articles, many of which can be accessed on the clips page. April holds a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, graduating summa cum laude in July 2022.

In 2016, April became owner and director of Northern Colorado Writers, a writing organization in Fort Collins she had been involved in since 2009. After three and a half years of heading up the 250+ member group, that included teaching workshops, conducting writing retreats, and organizing four, 2-day conferences, April stepped down as director to focus on her writing. She hopes to return to her young adult manuscript that is anxiously awaiting edits.
