i just bought a copy of your folsom 93 because of your advertisement stating ‘lives and crimes’. I looked up my great great grandfather (#7) hoping to find out about his life or his family or where he came from. All you state is the equivalent of 1 newspaper clipping. Not much research done on these inmates. Very disappointing. False advertising on authors part. Should not have wasted my money
I’m sorry you feel that way. I did the best I could with the information available. You should understand that unfortunately, there was very little information about your great, great grandfather. In my experience of researching for this book, I found more often than not, records were poorly kept for minority criminals–especially for a case as far back as 1897. I read through his sparse file in the CA state archives. The only information I can tell you that I didn’t include, is that he came from Central America.
